KOCH INDUSTRIES PLEDGES UP TO $2.25 MILLION FOR HURRICANE RELIEF EFFORTS
 
WICHITA, Kan. – Koch Industries, LLC is donating $1 million to the American Red Cross for its Hurricane Katrina relief efforts and $250,000 to the Salvation Army for its programs in the affected states. The company also will match up to $1 million in employee donations to either organization.


“On behalf of our family of companies such as INVISTA, Flint Hills Resources, and Koch Cellulose, Koch Industries wants to help address the immediate needs of the estimated 1 million people who have been devastated by this disaster,” said Charles G. Koch, chairman and chief executive officer of Koch Industries, Inc. “Our hearts and prayers go out to all of these people as they begin the hard work of rebuilding their lives.”


Koch companies are also considering additional contributions to charities in those Gulf Coast communities in which they have a presence.
