Since most pipelines are
underground, pipeline markers like the ones shown on this page are used to
show their approximate location.
We have installed these markers at public road, rail and river crossings and various
other places along the pipeline's path. We do not intend for these signs to pinpoint
the exact location of the pipeline, and you should not assume that they do. If you
have a project that requires digging, please
"Call Before You Dig".
The examples show that pipeline markers may either bear the Koch Pipeline
Company name or the name of the affiliated company that owns the line and
hires us to operate for them, or both. Signs are printed with
pipeline-specific phone numbers. You may call the numbers you see on signs
in your area or 1-800-688-7594 with questions.
It is a criminal offense to willfully deface, damage, remove or destroy any
pipeline sign, right of way marker or marine buoy.
You can find out if we operate any lines in your zip code using the zip code
search on the "Our Neighborhoods" page.
