Crude Oil Transportation and Gathering Systems
Koch Pipeline Company, L.P. operates proprietary and common carrier crude oil pipelines that deliver to refining centers in the Midwest and Texas.
Minnesota Pipe Line Company, LLC completed an expansion of the Minnesota Pipe Line system in 2008. The 304-mile new pipeline
combines with the existing system to deliver Canadian and Rockies crude oil, including Bakken, from the Enbridge system in
Clearbrook, Minn., to refineries in the Twin Cities. This system can easily be expanded to accommodate the growing supply of
these crudes.
The 580-mile Wood River system receives crude oil at its terminal in Woodriver, Ill., from Midwest crude pipelines that source
crude oil from major hubs and production points, including Cushing, Okla., Patoka, Ill., St. James, La., and the Rockies, and
delivers it to refineries in the Twin Cities.
The South Texas system, which moves domestic crude to Corpus Christi, consists of more than 600 miles of transportation lines.
Koch Pipeline operates this system and, as the largest pipeline transporter of South Texas crude, has relationships with other
crude distribution systems that further its ability to provide services in the growing Eagle Ford production area.
Refined Products
The pipeline systems we operate transport refined products to terminals, either reaching airline and other major customers
directly or delivering to wholesale distributors who get the fuels to consumers. These pipelines are owned by
Flint Hills Resources.
- Wisconsin Pipeline - Carries products from the Flint Hills Resources' Twin Cities-area refinery to distribution terminals in Wisconsin.
- MSP Airport Line - Delivers jet fuel to the Minneapolis/St. Paul airport.
- Texas Pipeline System - Runs from Corpus Christi to the San Antonio, Austin, Bastrop, Waco and Dallas/Ft. Worth markets.
- DFW Airport Line - Delivers jet fuel from a Ft. Worth-area terminal to the Dallas/Ft. Worth airport.
Natural Gas Liquids
We operate a propane distribution pipeline in Minnesota and Wisconsin, which takes this important home heating fuel to a key market in Wisconsin.
Chemicals
In Texas, we operate pipelines owned by Flint Hills Resources that serve FHR’s chemical plant in Port Arthur, and lines owned by INVISTA. that serve its manufacturing facilities in La Porte, Orange and Victoria.
Other Products
We also operate an 8-mile, 21-inch pipeline system that connects Flint Hills Resources’ East and West refineries in Corpus Christi. This system carries a variety of products between the two facilities.
